I had a terrible time getting this working until I figured out the red light in the unit was staying on and and not turning off when fully assembled. The reason was there is a piece of plastic on the inside of the main cover that hits a tiny switch on the base unit and they were not lining up so I pushed it over held it for a bit then closed it quickly and it hit the switch and stayed there. That switch if not engaged tells the system that the cover is off and someone is tampering with it. Other than that it seems to work ok.
