I'm a big Schlage fan and have a bunch of their home automation products installed in my house. I was excited to see that they were coming out with an outdoor wireless camera. Unfortunately, the performance of this camera has a lot to be desired. I added it to my Schlage (Nexia) system and mounted it right outside the front door. The response time from when the video reaches your computer or mobile device has about a 45 second delay. This pretty much renders it useless for any type of worthwhile video monitoring or recording.
I also have a Schlage indoor camera located inside my house which is about 20 feet away and it happens to work perfectly. Both are connected via a wireless connection and both have a very strong signal.
UPDATED 10-9-12: Changing my review from 1 star to 4 stars. I received a replacement camera from Amazon and it seems to be working much better than the original. When I activated the replacement camera, there was a firmware upgrade which automatically downloaded. So, I'm not certain if it was the replacement camera or the firmware upgrade that made the difference. Either way, the delay in video signal has been reduced greatly.
